His former employers include the Susquehanna Corporation, National Farmers Union Insurance Companies and Blue Cross & Blue Shield.  Immediately prior to founding Jaramillo & Associates, he served as Vice President of Human Resources for six years for Woodward-Clyde Group, Inc., an international environmental engineering firm.</div> <bR> <div> Alan has long been involved with community and professional organizations, and is internationally known as an expert in human resource management. He served five terms with distinction as a member of the board of directors of the 210,000-member Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world's leading human resources association.  He served three years on the board of directors of the Institute for International Human Resources, and was president of two of SHRM's most distinguished chapters, the Colorado Human Resources Association (CHRA), and Salt Lake SHRM.  He is a recipient of CHRA's prestigious Human Resources Professional of the Year Award.</div> <bR> <div> In addition, he has been a member of the Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS), the American Compensation Association, and the Western International Personnel Association.  He has also served on committees for the Chamber of Commerce, the Colorado Association for Commerce & Industry, and the Personnel Committee for the Board of Directors of the Mile High United Way.</div> <bR> <div> Alan has a long history of teaching at the college level, having taught undergraduate level human resource management courses for several colleges & universities.  He is also a popular speaker on various HR topics - particularly recruiting & retaining world-class employees, and has been the editor of the online study guide to the number one selling HR textbook, "Human Resource Management", by Mathis & Jackson.</div> <bR> <div> Jaramillo holds a B.
